What This Product Is and How It Works

Tangit PVC Pipe Glue is a solvent cement that bonds rigid PVC by softening and fusing the pipe and fitting surfaces into a single joint. When applied correctly, the solvent partially dissolves the PVC surface layers, allowing them to merge as the solvent evaporates.

This process results in a permanent, leak-tight joint that is mechanically strong and suitable for pressure and non-pressure piping systems when used on compatible materials.

Material Quality, Durability and Environmental Performance

Once cured, the bonded joint exhibits high resistance to water pressure, mechanical stress, and normal temperature variations. The adhesive forms a homogeneous PVC bond rather than a surface-level glue line, which improves long-term durability.

Under typical Kenyan installation conditions, the adhesive performs reliably in indoor and outdoor plumbing systems when protected from prolonged direct sunlight and applied according to recommended practices. It is suitable for potable water and drainage systems where compatible PVC materials are used, subject to confirmation of system requirements.
